VENUS Unlocked Loyalty Program Case Study
Objective
VENUS, an online catalog and fashion retailer that sells clothing, shoes, jewelry and accessories for women, was looking for a way to retain existing customers, drive repeat purchases and increase their bottom line with a new subscription revenue stream.
Additionally, VENUS also needed a solution for a user experience-related challenge common in apparel – the inability to try on clothing before purchasing it. Many of their customers order multiple sizes of swimwear to get the right fit and then return the others.
The solution needed to not only drive engagement and incremental revenue, but to also address this complex aspect of the customer experience. And in addition to the solution itself, VENUS was looking to partner with a company that could take on the heavy lifting of building, managing and optimizing it over time.
Solution
To exceed its retention, revenue and customer experience goals, VENUS partnered with ebbo to launch VENUS Unlocked – a premium loyalty program that offers VIP customers the opportunity to opt in and receive exclusive benefits and rewards.
Members pay a monthly membership fee of $16.95 to join the program, which includes exclusive benefits they love. The program has a free 30-day trial before any membership fee is paid.
As members of VENUS Unlocked, customers receive premium benefits like 10% cashback on VENUS purchases and 5% back at Marketplace and Travel retailers (members can save with 1,500+ popular retailers and 80+ travel services) which is paid out in the form of gift codes/brand currency back with VENUS, encouraging repeat purchases.
Members also enjoy free shipping and free return shipping rebates on VENUS and Marketplace purchases which alleviates the friction that comes with purchasing apparel outside of brick and mortar.
Results
Since launching the program, the signup rate has continued to exceed expectations.
