The end of the year is always an exciting time at ebbo and 2022 was no different.
Between cubicles and home office spaces being decorated, office parties on the horizon and a well-deserved holiday break right around the corner, team members were in high spirits. But we were also thinking of those less fortunate.
That’s why the ebbo ERG Community Engagement Team wanted to end the year by giving back to three amazing charitable organizations.
Team members in our Connecticut office collected non-perishable and other items for Hands on Hartford, a social service nonprofit organization that serves Hartford’s most economically challenged residents in the areas of food, housing and health. Founded in 1969 as Center City Churches, the agency has had a longstanding commitment to providing respectful, comprehensive services with help from volunteers and community partnerships.
In Arizona, we partnered with St. Mary’s Food Bank where employees could donate their time to help pack and sort food for those in need. St. Mary’s Food Bank serves to alleviate hunger through the gathering and distribution of food while encouraging self-sufficiency, collaboration, advocacy and education.
And in Michigan, team members had the opportunity to sign up to adopt families in need for the holidays with Kids Empowered. Kids Empowered does not just provide food, but the kind of support many take for granted that they receive from family members and friends like tools to shut down unfriendly situations, set boundaries and develop healthy relationships.
All in all, the ebbo ERG was delighted to work with these great organizations to help make a difference in many of the communities that our employees call home.
