‘Tis the Season to Spread Joy: Celebrating the 2023 Holidays at ebbo

The holiday spirit was alive and well at ebbo in 2023, with a full display of what makes our company special: a sense of community, giving, collaboration and fun for all. For a company like ebbo, which believes businesses should be measured by their commitment to the communities around them, the festive season is indeed merry and bright. From charitable donations to spirited social events, our 2023 holiday season was a chance to truly shine. 

Angels in the Office  

Once again, ebbo partnered with the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program — an opportunity to spread joy and cheer to the less fortunate during the holidays. The employees value our ongoing relationship with the Salvation Army and greeted our display of wish list tags from families in need with great enthusiasm. Very soon after, our donation table overflowed with toys, books, games and clothing for children in the greater Hartford area.  

Feeding Our Souls 

Of course, the altruism at ebbo doesn’t stop at gifts. Organized by our Employee Resource Group, ebbo teams across the country collected a bounty of non-perishable foods to help those facing food insecurity during the holiday season. In Rocky Hill, CT, we collected for Hands On Hartford, in Scottsdale, AZ, we collected for St. Mary’s and in Southfield, MI, we collected for Gleaners. Seeing the donations pile up daily not only brought nutrition to those who need it but spread a sense of cheer and good tidings around the office. 

That Festive Feeling  

Speaking of cheer, the ebbo team once again brought their creative best when it comes to festivity.  We love a good-natured contest, and the holidays are no exception.  This year, employees vied to see who would win the ugly sweater contest — and who’s cubicle would take first prize in the annual decorating contest. From some seriously ugly sweaters to gingerbread houses and twinkling lights — even a holiday-themed Barbie Land, there was no mistaking the holiday spirit this year.  

Bring on the Party! 

If there’s one thing the team at ebbo loves, it’s a party — and our 2023 celebrations did not disappoint.  Both the Scottsdale and Southfield teams celebrated with cocktails, good food and great company. The Rocky Hill office brough the party to the lively Truck Bar in Berlin, CT, a fun venue with cornhole, arcade games and unique vintage décor. After indulging in food, drink, games and more, we capped the afternoon with a spirited Yankee Swap, and headed home happy and ready to continue with the season.  

Here’s to 2024 

As the year comes to a close, we like to reflect on how these holiday initiatives spread joy and make a positive impact — both inside and outside the office. Each endeavor, whether big or small, contributes to the warmth and togetherness that defines our company culture. Here’s to a season of giving, sharing and creating lasting memories at ebbo!
