Why Developing Loyalty From Within Is Key To Business Success

Clarus Commerce CEO Tom Caporaso discusses how loyalty goes deeper than a relationship between retailers and customers and starts with those around you to build success from within.

We talk a lot about loyalty as it takes place between brands and consumers, but we can’t forget about the bigger picture.

Loyalty is about supporting the people around us. It’s about doing better and giving back.

Our philosophy is that your job shouldn’t be solely about the work you do. Your team members should serve as a support system, offering you help and encouragement in your professional development.

The program provides opportunities for our employees to lend a collective hand to people, causes, and organizations in the cities and towns near us in Connecticut. Effective employee engagement is essential for any company to grow and prosper.

As a team, we’ve provided our time and skills to help organize a walk to support the Connecticut chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. We’ve gathered pledges and strained leg muscles in a stair climb to raise funds for the American Lung Association. We’ve even collected and donated supplies to The House of Bread.

Clarus Cares is our way to give something back to the people and charities around us. Every quarter we go out. It’s always about giving back and building relationships within the company and the companies we work with.

Over the past 17 years, our workforce has helped shape the way we do things.

We have an eager workforce and all these things contribute to a stellar employee retention rate. Clarus Cares plays a vital role in our company’s overarching mission, and its motto is “Make A Difference.”

We like to think that, in a small way, we do make a difference at each of our quarterly Clarus Cares events.

These events bring together employees from various departments that might have very little interaction during a normal work week. Going out into different communities and helping them meets our goal of giving back and creates new relationships internally.

And we’ve received consistent positive feedback about Clarus Cares.

Our team really enjoys the camaraderie it creates, as well as positive energy from giving something to a worthy cause. It allows us the chance to get to know each other and people in our communities in a different way and in a different environment.

It instills our company’s cohesive positive values in our employees. Our actions encourage employees to collaborate and work together in and out of the office. They have fun and enjoy the work they are doing.

That’s what Clarus employees discover when they participate in Clarus Cares. And that’s what makes it so impactful. While Clarus Commerce revolves around the loyalty industry from a business perspective, it all starts from within.
